A1. They have the unique ability to store energy in the hind leg tendons. Energy for each hop comes from the spring action of the tendons.

Q2. Why does the Frilled Lizard have a frill?
A2. When the lizard is attacked, it opens its mouth & flares it’s frill to scare the enemy. The frill may also help in keeping it cool (thermoregulation).

Q3. Why do Camels have humps?
A3. The hump stores fat (not water) & enables the camel to survive without water for 2 weeks & without food for 1 month.

Q4. How is the Rattlesnake different from other snakes?
A4.  It is a pit- viper and has special heat-sensitive organs (thermoreceptors) on the head. As the snake doesn't have good eyes, these pits help it to find its prey.
