The emphasis of this mural was to make children question why everyday things around them were the way they were. Such as.. ask why trees have bark?
The world is a cool place! Look around you!
While I was sketching our the mural, a few children came up to me and
asked me to draw this iguana from their science book and I happily acquiesced!
In the background is a sign for the Stevenson library (the local public library
close to the school).
The flying carpet say "The magic of books lasts forever".
The boy
in the foreground is contemplating what he wants to be when he will grow up and
the books offer a wide range of interesting choices.
You can be whatever you aim to be!
Why do things fall?
There is a height measuring scale alongside the books for the children to measure themselves against.
